On Saturday 21st February 2026 people flocked here to Eastgate shopping centre to celebrate, and welcome the Chinese new year, the year of the horse, hundreds of people turned up for the occasion, and all of the shops in the centre were visited by the Dragon to bring good luck and prosperity.
